A few years ago, I never even thought of pairing the Tenimyu boys as who they are, instead of their characters. Hyouteimyu came out, and I started seeing the possibility of KatouxTAKUYA, especially with his constant posts of having TAKUYA in his home (which appear to be lacking lately, noes. D:). But I had yet to venture into fanworks of any sort, having never understood how one could write anything for real people.

Then Arashi crashed into my life.

1.

The hallway echoed with a loud shriek.

Nino and Aiba burst through the doors of Arashi’s dressing room, laughing hysterically. The taller boy held a suspicious white tape in his left hand, its length flapping about as the two dove for cover behind their chosen furniture pieces.

Wrapped in nothing but a bath towel, Sho stormed in right after, face beet red. One glance at his exposed legs would reveal a long patch of bare skin below his right knee, pale and stark against the thick tufts of hair surrounding it.

“Aiba!” he bellowed, pointing an accusing finger at the culprit.

“I asked Nino if sticky tape could serve as a cheap form of Brazilian bikini wax,” Aiba gasped between his giggles, “And Nino said, Sho-kun’s legs would work as an experiment, and it totally worked – just look at this volume!”

“It was your fault for dozing off, Sho-kun!” Nino managed to choke from behind the couch.

Sho opened and closed his mouth like a fish out of water, before he turned to face the opposite side of the room. “Satoshi-kun,” he implored.

Sketching quietly in the corner, Ohno looked up from his notebook. He studied Sho (eyes wide with hope), then Nino and Aiba (still rolling in giggle fits next to the table and waving the tape about), face scrunched up in a frown of concentration.

“I don’t think it counts till you try the real thing,” Arashi’s leader finally concluded.

Sho was given exactly three seconds to gape, before his assailants lunged at him for the second time.

“Nino, where did you put my rings?”

“What is Matsumoto talking about?”

“Stop using that ridiculous foreign accent. Where did you put my rings?”

“I no speak Japanese.”

“Nino, seriously, I will kill you.”

“Ask ojiisan, he might have an answer.”

“Leader doesn’t know where his underwear goes, never mind my rings.”

“My underwear goes over my delicate bits and under my pants.”

“Why the hell are you talking in that stupid accent too?”

3.

Absently, Ohno brushed away the light pat. “Nothing yet?”

“Not past the third verse with ‘Malaysia, Indonesia,” Nino replied as he fingered the strings of his guitar with one hand. “I just need to focus a little more.”

This time, the pat returned as a possessive squeeze.

“Okay,” Ohno said with barely a flinch.

When asked in an interview, Sakurai Sho confirmed with a feeble smile, why yes, Nino did have a fascination for Leader’s ass, and it really was like watching a train wreck.

4.

Nino fell like a sack of potatoes.

Seconds after he hit the ground, Captain fussed over his hip and spine, filling the air with profuse apologies. Admittedly, he had been a little more vocal than necessary with his complaints, but the worry was excessive all the same. (Even though his hip bone did hurt like a bitch.)

He should have expected it, really. As powerful as Ohno’s arms were, rippling under the strobe lights as they flowed and snapped to the rhythm, there was only so much a tiny old man could hold.

“Aah, this won’t work!” Nino cried, flailing his limbs wildly.

Ohno pursed his lips and frowned- he never understood why Captain had to make such elaborate facial expressions for the simplest gestures –before he cocked his head to one side. “Maybe if you lost some weight?”

Nino flung the closest object at hand. “What’re you trying to say?”

“Just that,” Ohno ducked as his sketchpad sailed by, “You’re at least five kilos heavier, so I thought…”

A normal person would have just asked his heavier partner to do the carrying. Keyword: normal.

It wasn’t like Nino would ever agree to that anyway.

With a sigh, he sat up slowly. “Well, let’s think up another one then.”

Ohno blinked. “Didn’t you like this one?”

Rising to his feet, Nino cuffed affectionately at the other’s head. “Yeah, but we can’t have you dropping me on stage like that. I’m heading home for the day, we’ll make up something next week okay?”

“But-”

“Hm?” Nino’s eyes lingered near Ohno’s chin, focused intensely on the small pink tongue that darted out to trace the soft lip below. Damn Captain and his facial expressions.

“Nothing,” Ohno finally said. “Have a safe drive home.”

In the next week, Nino fell for the second time.

One did not often find a diminutive old man at the back of his house, struggling to lift a dumbbell with weights twice the size of his head. A new addition, Nino later discovered, approved and paid for by Ohno’s mother, who seemed to acknowledge that her son needed a bit more tone to his figure. The sight had caused Nino to promptly drop to his knees, the weight of his own laughter too crushing to stay upright.

“Oh-chan,” he giggled, as he gently draped a towel round his partner’s neck after catching his breath, “You’re an idiot.”

Ohno grinned.

The crowd roared its approval.
