Arashi Gekkan Summer 07 & Secret Talk 06
I am going to shower and crash, but before that, last translation here before the new ones go in a new journal. When I get around to creating it.




Caption: For some reason, Ohno leans in a ladylike fashion towards Nino, who flops down in a seiza position. Even during the photoshoot, the two of them had a private conversation.

Ninomiya & Sakurai star in a high school drama, and the remaining three member's true feelings are...

Matsumoto: Aiba-chan's solo, "Friendship" really shows his character. It overflows from his song.
Ohno: It fits with Aiba-chan's vocals. For me, when I listen to this song, I get so touched.
Matsumoto: That friends are great?
Ohno: Yeah. It makes me reflect on things.

Sakurai: It's a great song that touches the sleeping lion right. Nino's "Rainbow" has a bitter last [ending] in it.
Ninomiya: Ah~, that's true.
Matsumoto: If you listen till the end, you'll explode.
Ninomiya: Is that the kind of set up we've got (laugh)
Matsumoto: In a way, it makes you spark!
Ninomiya: Yes well. I'd like everyone to listen from the start, right to the end of the end.
Sakurai: Right right. If you ask why the ending makes your heart jump, it's because of the flow from the beginning right.
Aiba: In the song, there's a story right.
Sakurai: A mini-drama.
Ohno: Nino's vocals are good here too.
Sakurai: Was the lion touched?
Ohno: Yes! It was touched!
Ninomiya: The second touching moment has entered for the sleeping lion! (laugh)

Sakurai: What about my "Can't Let You Go"
Ohno: I was touched.
Sakurai: Oi! No matter how you think of that, it was an attempt to end the conversation wasn't it!
Ohno: I did think that it was a song that only Sho-kun could sing.
Aiba: This one's cool too.
Matsumoto: For me, it was fresh. It's a song that brings out a different part of Sho-kun, other than his RAP image.
Aiba: I wonder if they're looking forward to a calm Sho-chan?
Ninomiya: It's about time huh.
Sakurai: (laugh) I thought it was about time for me to calm down.
Ninomiya: Sho-chan has been heavy on that after all.
Sakurai: You know, it feels like we unravelled our songs at a good time huh.

Even though you just finished your Dome performances successfully, along with a new album in July, you're having a national tour. Clearly, this year's Arashi is amazing!

Sakurai: For that, if you want to know why, it's because our sleeping lion has awakened.
Ohno: !! (raises his head in shock)
Sakurai: See (laugh)
Matsumoto: For our concerts too, we'd like to liven it up in this manner. We haven't been to the regions. It's already been about one year hasn't it.
Aiba: As a newly produced concert it's been a year too huh.
Matsumoto: I'd like to make it an interesting thing that gives off Arashi's "Now". Although that's the usual thing, it'd be great if we can create a concert that, with far more importance than words that linger in the heart, brightens everyone who's in the same space as us... Ah, I sure said a good thing huh. That's right! It's a concert that takes "Now" as important.
Ninomiya: We're really excited about it aren't we.
Ohno: That's very true. At places we've never been, at halls we're familiar with, I'd like to have fun at all of them.
Matsumoto: For Arashi's summer, we have to announce dramas too.

Member love has entered! In the drama "Yamada Tarou Monogatari" (TBS channel) Ninomiya and Sakurai's first co-star drama has been decided!

Aiba: I'm looking forward to it~
Ninomiya: You liar! You're definitely not looking forward to it!
Matsumoto: You thought that he'd be doing "Dokaben" right? (*Dokaben is a baseball anime with a chubby character called Yamada Tarou in it.)
Ninomiya: "This time's Yamada Tarou sure has slimmed down huh," is what he said to me.
Aiba: I get it now, really! "Yamada Tarou Monogatari" right? Sho-chan is the cool role right.
Ninomiya: Cool, smart, athletic, and he's a great person too.
Aiba: Ohh~ that means, he's taking on the challenge of an impossible character huh.
Sakurai: Excuse me Aiba-san, but could you not say that here please.
Aiba: I'm really looking forward to it~ Right, Leader?
Ninomiya: Are you anticipating it?
Ohno: Yeah. I'm wondering whether the two of you are being good friends with your co-stars...
Matsumoto: What kind of worry are you having (laugh)
Sakurai: I wonder if it looks like we have the hope of being loved?
Ohno: Nino has it I think.
Sakurai: I won't do? (laugh)
Ohno: It's because Nino's cute ♥ [let me just add that this heart was in the article.]
Sakurai: Ee~to, wha'bout me~~?
Ohno: ..........
Sakurai: IS MY FUTURE BLEAK!
Ohno: I wonder. Well, I want Sho-kun to work hard!
Matsumoto: You sure treat it like it's someone else's problem~ (laugh)

*On his solo*
Since last year's summer, I've continued singing the solo song "Himitsu" for a year you see~ It means that this is a new song from now on. I tried writing my own lyrics. For me, it's quite a bright piece.

NINOMIYA KAZUNARI

I like that a picture of Nino looking at Ohno all, "My baby is so silly" accompanies that caption about his solo. And everyone and their mom probably already knows the lyrics for Rainbow and how the descriptions somehow kinda sorta uhhh maaaaaybe point to Ohno. When my brain isn't trying to eat its way out of my skull, I might actually find that song and listen to it. |D; (Also, go go ShoxOhno ♥)

Ahaha, I just read some of your translation excerpts to my sister, and she said that, with Arashi, one wouldn't need any imagination and reading in between the lines, because they just say everything straight out. XD <3 Corruption of the sister is in progress... :D

She's going to be 22 in december, but has always been reluctant to get into orgy boybands certain parts of japanese entertainment. It took me a while to spike her interest in Tenimyu and T&T, too, but videos assisted me to slowly but surely drag her down. >)

Yep, loosely translated. It comes out a little funny literally, like, "Young lady sitting position" so. XD

(Awww, you'll be fiine! Though out of curiosity, how much Korean have you picked up? *grin*)

oh, is お姉さん also used to indicate 'young lady'? when i saw i thought, 'sisterly?'

i can't really handle korean because i haven't figured out the phonetic alphabet. there's a lot of random dipthongs in there.

It means "older sister" on its own, but it can also refer to "young lady". When I ordered food at a street food vendor once, he told his assistant barbecuing the food, "かわいい姉さんに唐揚げ一つ～！" [One kara'age piece for the cute young lady~!] (And then I preen, because people actually see me at my true age over there, instead of 15 or 16. |D)

Ohh. But what about the standard greetings? I guess the videos don't really have the boys doing that stuff huh. XD;;

... you'll be sorry they can tell your age when you hit thirty or so.

they used to have this trick where they do the greeting 'annyeounghaseyo' in harmony, but they don't seem to do that one anymore. and they always finish by yelling 'dongbangshingisumnida! kamsamhamnida!' (this was dongbangshingi! thank you!)

anyway here is a compiled clip of yunho teaching korean in japanese. he seems to like doing it.

Apparently it's not the way I look, but the aura I give off, according to some nice old ladies I met. :D; I don't wear mini-skirts and all that when I go for my bread-making lessons obviously, so they have this impression that I'm a mature, sophisticated career woman who decided to try a hand at domestic stuff. *snrk*

Oooooh, that's a really useful clip, and yunho seems so happy doing it. XD *save for future reference*

Okay, I read this article a few days ago. Before hearing Nino's solo or learning it was called Rainbow or reading the lyrics...and OMG "the sleeping lying is touched." ^__^

By the way, I didn't manage to get an Arashi concert ticket... SO ENJOY IT WITH MY PART AS WELL T^T

Searching for cheap tickets on Yahoo auctions right now, but the cheapest I can find are the ones in Hokkaido. (Watching them, nevertheless. >___>)

Oooooooohhh, Sakuraba's adorable!! (My first thought was of an ES21 character, but he's adorable too |D;;) I love how Aiba calls him "Sho-chan" and lately he's been teasing Sho alot. But yeah, man, it's hard to choose pairings, always best to go with ot5. *grin* One pairing that doesn't sit well with me though, is ShoxNino. I don't really know why. ^^;; *squishes* Glad you like, they're so cute in magazines!

Yeahhh. XD There are times when he decides to break out the dork side and join them, and it's so much funnier because he's usually one of the matured ones.
